Whether the expense-code option appears at checkout depends on how you're paying:
If any card payment is selected (even just for an overage), you'll always see the option to add an expense code.
If you're paying by allowance, the option shows whenever an expense code is required or optional for your budget. It's only hidden when a code isn't used at all.
After choosing an expense code, click Save.
